In early 2018 myself, Simon & my wife, Becky attended a country show in London and sampled some Prosecco & Gin from a mobile bar in attendance. Whilst enjoying our drinks I had a light-bulb moment and the dream that is today Tipple On Tow was born.
A little while after this I found myself trawling eBay and stumbled across a rundown rusty old caravan which had been sat rotting in a barn for nearly 20 years.. Before I knew it I had parted with £64.00 and the vintage caravan was mine.
It arrived at our home and we wondered what we were getting ourselves into.
No windows, the floor was rotten and it wasn't in the best shape to say the least.
After 3 months of hard elbow grease, a good imagination and no social life led to what you see before you.
We’ve sympathetically restored this into a fully functional mobile event bar.
Throughout we made a conscious effort to ensure original features were retained and upcycled an abundance of materials to create a true rustic bar effect. We wanted to make sure that wasn’t just any old mobile bar, we wanted this to be a unique bar which added a talking point to any party or event.
As they say the rest is history!
Our mobile bar hit the road in August 2018 and we have a variety of events under our belt including some beautiful country weddings, classic country fayres, school fetes and we’ve lost count of the number of bottles of Mulled Wine & Bailey’s hot chocolate sold at Christmas fairs.
Unlike many other mobile bars we can provide a full event bar service which includes draught beer, Prosecco, Spirits and mixers, and a variety of soft drinks. What’s even better is that because we are basically a pub on wheels our offering can be tailored to meet your exact needs & tastes.
When looking at other suppliers in Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk we noticed that many converted bars are limited on what they can provide and we didn’t want to fall into this category. We feel it’s not fair on you or your guests if you want a unique experience but are restricted to what this can include & what can be served.
In terms of serving alcoholic drinks this type of work isn’t a shock to myself & Becky, we both have a mix of experience which brings a very diverse set of skills to the table.
Becky was lucky enough to be raised at The Victory Inn, Halstead, Essex where her parents were the Landlady & Landlord. Along with this she has had a number of roles as a barmaid & waitress.
I also have a strong background in the hospitality industry stemming from my early years as a qualified chef to running kitchens & bars at large private catering & bar events. Between us our experience and passion provides an outstanding service and mobile bar offering.
One thing I can promise to you is that no matter how big or small your event is we will do everything we can to ensure that your Mobile Bar needs are met and that the service provided is second to none.
